R&D Director Sonny Assennato of Diagnostics for the Real World (DRW) provides a training session for Addenbrooks Hospital frontline clinicians in the use of their Samba II diagnostic machines which are being trialled in the hospital, in wards where suspected Covid-19 patients are being bought in.

The machines can analyise a sample for the novel coronavirus in 90 minutes. The Cambridge University spinout company originally developed the system for use with HIV but have successfully addapted it for use with coronaviruses.
