Sabahudin was one of 8,000 mainly Bosnian Muslim men and boys murdered by Bosnian Serb forces led by former general Ratko Mladic. His body lay in an unknown mass grave for 14 years following the genocide before being discovered and laid to rest in Potocari. Mladic is one of the most sought after suspects from the Bosnian conflict. He has been indicted by the UN war crimes tribunal on charges of genocide and crimes against humanity.
