Syrian refugee Dalal Eissa (13) with her mother Ayesha in their family's small apartment where they spend most days cutting cotton threads from pairs of jeans which are made in a nearby factory. The meagre work, which pays 25 TL (GBP 3.51) for every 100 pairs, helps to keep Dalal's family from bowing to pressure and marrying Dalal off to a wealthy Syrian businessman who knew the family when they lived in Aleppo and has now offered 20,000 Turkish Lira (approx. GBP 2,800) for the young teenager.
