Southern Ocean, Antarctica

The A68, the world's largest iceberg floats in the Southern Ocean between the South Orkney Islands and the South Shetland Islands. A68 calved from the edge of the Larsen C Ice Shelf in July 2017.

The Greenpeace ship MY Esperanza is on the final leg of the pole to pole voyage from the Arctic to the Antarctic. The almost year-long voyage is one of Greenpeace's biggest ever expeditions and highlights the many threats facing the oceans while campaigning for a Global Ocean Treaty covering all seas outside of national waters.
