The funeral of Ahmad al-Hasan, a 19 year old Syrian boy, who drowned in the Bug River separating Poland from Belarus. He was buried at the Bohoniki Muslim cemetery. Ethnic Tatars, members of the Muslim community in Bohoniki, paid for his funeral. His mother who is in a refugee camp in Jordan and his six brothers who are in Germany watched his funeral on line. Ahmad was pushed toward the river by Belarusian guards even though he couldn't swim.
Ahmed escaped the war in Syria and was with his mother in a refugee camp in Jordan. He decided to leave Jordon and flew with his friend to Minsk. According to his friend who made it to Germany, they were pushed by Belarusian police toward Bug river near the Polish village of Woroblin on the border with Belarus and Poland. Both boys couldn't swim.
