The Revenok family and their friends who all escaped Chernihiv together now wait to depart by train from Kyiv for Lviv, from where they plan to travel on into Europe. They managed to escape the besieged city of Chernihiv earlier that morning, a now dangerous journey that involves crossing the Desna river by boat with the help of volunteers.
