The Zeynel Bey tomb, one of the many buildings of historic importance that will be moved to new locations before the completion of the Ilisu hydroelectric dam, 96 kilometres (60 miles) downstream from Hasankeyf on the Tigris River. About 80% of the town will be submerged beneath 60 metres (200 feet) of water. New buildings are being built to rehouse the town's residents and many significant buildings are to be moved.
