Torje (23) from Tromso survived the terrorist attack carried out by Anders Breivik on the island of Utoya while he was attending an AUF (Workers' Youth League) political camp in July 2011. At 14 he was the youngest who attended the summer camp. Torje, his brother Viljar and some other youths were hiding below 'the love path'. When his older brother Viljar was shot, Torje started to swim, but because of the bullets he turned and dived. He was later rescued by a boat. He now works with children and youth and creates music and art.

'I always knew that darkness is life-giving, full of gunpowder and transforming. I have been obsessed with pain and death - the fact that one can die at any time. I do not think about the future and I do not need ambitions to succeed. I'm already enjoying myself.'
