Funafuti, TUVALU

Tuvalu is best known globally as one of the low lying, small island developing states most gravely threatened by climate change, global warming and particularly sea level rise. At high tide during the seasonal spring tides a storm serge produces winds, big swells and waves crashing up against the protective sea-wall along the coast line of the coral atoll.
