Isle of Harris, Outer Hebrides, Scotland, United Kingdom

The Isle of Harris is one of the more remote destinations in Scotland and the U.K., requiring multiple ferry rides and a very long drive from the south of England. The Harris economy was formerly based on fishing and sheep but now depends heavily on tourism during the summer months. As travel to other parts of Europe has been restricted in 2021, due to covid, 'stay-cationing' in the U.K. has become more popular.
