Yuri Seremet (74), a so-called 'Liquidator', those persons that worked to clean radioactive contaminated waste from the Chernobyl nuclear site. Following the 1986 disaster he worked to clean vehicles that came out from the radioactive zone. There were six members in each shift and all of them died in middle age. His job made him scared but his employment was in relation with the military authorities and he was compelled to do it. He now gets a pension of 2050 Hryvnia (UAH) (55 GBP) and half of his electricity and gas bills are also paid.
